Description

Pair of whimsical antique porcelain match strikes / ashtrays featuring the Queen of Hearts & King of Spades. Each vesta has a leaning match keeper with a ridged strike area on the side and a playing card deck ashtray. Mark en verso believed to be the incised sun logo of German porcelain fabricator Gebrüder Heubach. The mark dates the piece to between 1882 & 1915.Good antique condition; vibrant colors, no cracks. Loss of gilt, crazing in one ashtray, and a tiny edge chip on the other.
