Description

Vintage butter cream hued majolica plate with a coastal / nautical theme. Piece is segmented into 4 sections, each with a hand painted shoreline subject surrounded by a raised floral majolica rim. Pairs of holes at top and bottom allow easy hanging. Unidentified mark on underside "Hand Painted Japan" encircling a dogwood (?) blossom.Very good condition, overall crazing; chip on underside which is not visible when in use. another on 1 section divider, glaze fabrication flaws.
