Description
The Swedish Dalecarlian rooster or Dala rooster, as they are more commonly known, are named for the central region of Sweden where they come from. The Dala rooster & horse originated in the late 1500s as a children’s toy and have gained popularity through the years and the Dala horse has now become a national symbol of Sweden. Unmarked butlikely by Nils Olsson (one of the two most famous Dala manufacturers in Sweden) due to style and content. Some wear age marks to paint, chip/mend to comb.
