Rare and highly collectible large Sunderland pottery splash lustre pitcher with the Gardners Arms image on one side, and the poem on the other. This jug was personalized to celebrate the birth of "Elizabeth Martel, Born August 7th, 1830". As with most early Sunderland pieces, there is not a maker’s mark.
