Sensational 1930s Grimwades English Art Deco centerpiece bowl hand-painted with Egyptian symbols against a rich yellow background with luster glaze. Elegant marbled green exterior glaze with more Art Deco decorations and gilt rims. In the late 1920s, archaelogical excavations in Egypt gave rise to the unique Egyptian Art Deco design, and this bowl is a superb example. Marked "Grimwades Stoke on Trent England" with a company mark used from 1925 through the 1930s. This is a collector’s piece.
