Description

Large antique Gien French faience pitcher in the classic Fond Bleu design, entirely hand-painted with cherubs, fanciful scrollwork, acanthus leaves and florals, all against a rather rare jet black background. Some 150 years old, it is in excellent condition. Marked with the Gien castle mark used from 1871 through 1875.
