19th-century Japanese hand-painted blue-and-white Imari porcelain bowl with top cover. Imari is a style of porcelain named after the Japanese port from which it was shipped from, beginning in the late 17th century. Imari-ware took its design cues from colorful Japanese textiles of the day such as exotic landscapes and birds. Maker’s mark on underside. Please note: For decorative use only. Age wear.
