Description

Hand-painted French faience trophy vase in Gien’s 200-year old Renaissance Fond Bleu pattern. Cherubs and angels mingle with mythical creatures amid urns overflowing with fruit and flowers. Ornate sky blue handles with sapphire blue decorations.Striking stylized scroll work and ochre chain link borders also adorn this vase. Marked "Gien France" with the castle mark used by the company from 1938 through 1960.
